Smoke Detector 928N
An ISO 9001:2015-certified Company established in 1998 in Ningbo is a rapidly expanding manufacturer offering a wide range of smoke alarms and smoke detector support in the fields of Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
What is a Photoelectric Smoke Detector?
A photoelectric smoke detector is a fire alarm that uses light-sensing technology to detect smoke.
It operates by shining a light beam into a sensing chamber. When smoke particles enter the chamber, they scatter the light, causing a drop in light intensity that triggers the alarm.
Features
Fast Response: They are particularly effective at detecting smouldering fires, which produce larger smoke particles.
Less False Alarms: Photoelectric models tend to have fewer false alarms from cooking or steam than ionisation smoke detectors.
Battery or AC-Powered: They can be powered by batteries or connected to the electrical system of a building.
Integrated Features: Many modern units come with additional features such as carbon monoxide detection or intelligent technology for remote monitoring.
Overall, photoelectric smoke detectors are reliable for enhancing fire safety in homes and buildings.
Installation Guidelines
The product is an advanced photoelectric smoke detector. Upon detecting smoke twice, it promptly outputs a signal to activate the connected unit. This proactive alert system provides early warning of potential fire hazards, helping to prevent unwanted losses and ensuring your safety and convenience.
WHERE NOT TO INSTALL SMOKE DETECTOR
1. Where combustion is permitted to produce. For example, unventilated kitchens, garages, and furnaces;
2. near fanner;
3. In damp, humid or steamy areas, Keep units at least 3m away from showers, saunas, dishwashers, etc.
4. In very dusty, dirty, or greasy areas;
5. In very drafty areas, where smoke will be blown away from the unit entirely,
6. in air-logged areas that will clog the sensing chamber;
7. Less than 305mm away from fluorescent lights. Electrical “noise” can interfere with the sensor.
8. In “dead air” space, for example, in Diagram 1, near the corner less than 10cm.
9. Don’t install the alarm in the smoking meeting room; the unit will alarm when several persons smoke.
INSTRUCTION SHEET
Important: The detector must be tested after installation and maintenance cleaning.
Note: Before testing, notify the relevant management department about the maintenance of the smoke detector system, as this will cause the system to stop working. Disrupt the maintenance of logic control power for the area or system to prevent unnecessary alarm activation. Ensure the detector is wired correctly and the system is powered on.
Testing Steps:
Power On: Switch on the power; the indicator should flash once every 30 seconds.
Test the Detector: Press a test pin (less than 1.5mm in diameter) into the test hole for about 2-3 seconds. The indicator should remain lit.
Check the Indicator: If the indicator does not light up, verify that the test pin is being used correctly.
Smoke Test: Use a smouldering wooden stick or cotton swab to generate smoke. Direct the smoke toward the detector until the alarm sounds.
Warning: After performing the smoke test, the detector can only be reset by briefly turning off the power supply.
If the detector fails the above tests, double-check that the wiring is correct.[/caption]
The Smoke Detector 928N is not just a product; it’s a vital component for fire safety and security.
